First, even thou you have 20" tires with the Lariat package, there's an 18" spare. Second, would like to know what the two blank connectors (one 2 pin and one 6 pin) attached . 2004 - 2008 Ford F150 - mystery electronic box near rear axle - I just had to use my spare for the 1st time. I noticed a desintegrated electonic box mounted on the frame above .the white wire powers the Fuel Pump Driver module mounted above and slightly forward of the spare tire under the bed of the truck. they fail and they rot out do to road salts. that white wire .
I am new to FTE. While solving a "Trailer Connected/Trailer Disconnected" issue with the help of an old thread on here i found these near the spare tire. Does anyone know .

Silver box 3" x 2" mounted on frame cross member above spare tire. These modules have a tendency to corrode and crack allowing water inside. The result is erratic fuel pump .Electrical problem 2006 Ford F150 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual truck wont start. I was told there was an aluminum relay box possiblly under spare tire located on frame rail. Is that true? Looking at it I noticed that it was the remains of a bracket that held two black plastic boxes up under the vehicle. they have an electrical connection and two tubes that run .
reinstall the plastic snorkel/funnel..place the spare tire under the truck and lace the center bracket & cable into the spare and reinstall the spare tire to its storage area. Hope this . I was finally able to get the spare tire down. Lower the tire was actually the last step I did. Time to install my Recon LED light bar. I assume it has to do with emissions. So I was climbing around under my 2016 F250 yesterday after removing the spare and I noticed what appears to be a computer module mounted above the spare tire. Just curious if anyone knows if this is main computer for the truck or something else?

Does anyone know what the green electrical connector might plug into that is secured to the driver's side frame near the spare tire? Mines not plugged into anything and I'm curious what it does plug into if anyone knows. Thanks! I am new to FTE.
