Evening all, I want to move two 2 gang sockets in a small front bedroom. The issue is the sockets are the first and last sockets on the upstairs ring and so to extend them I need to cut into the ring and use a junction box rather than extend the ring from the back of the sockets or create spurs/radials. I've added a socket for the TV and run a length of 2.5mm t&e from this. I then plan on breaking into the ring main, which is located a few feet away, and using some Wago connectors and a Wago junction box under the floorboards run a length of t&e to an FCU. That FCU will then be connected to the TV socket and another socket for the virgin box. Today I cut into the ring main and using a junction box created a spur for a new double socket.
