Like I said, the Monroe struts that were "universal" for all 79-93 Fox cars, 4 cyl, 6 cyl or 8 cyl, had a metal spacer for use with the 87-93 V8 cars only. I used 1/8" angle bracket to support the weight across the soft area. I used another piece on the fender well side. This has the added benefit of raising the front end 1/4" off the k-member, which helps with clearance for the 427W that's going in next spring. >
